April 16, 2008 (Celebmagic.blogspot.com) - Payal Tarafdar beat 23 other participants to become the winner of Gladrags Mega Model Contest 2008 at Spring Mills, Wadala, Mumbai, Saturday, April 12. Payal was clearly very excited to win the contest, claiming she was the first ever to do so from the state of Assam. Bollywood actors such as John Abraham, Dino Morea, Aishwarya Rai, Lara Dutta and model Meher Jesia got their entry into films through Gladrags, and that must have added to Payal's excitement. The star studded panel of judges, that included Bollywood stars Arjun Rampal, Koena Mitra and Mahima Chaudhary, had a hard time choosing the winner, as the contestants strutted their stuff in bikinis. Those present included Maureen Wadia, Ness Wadia, Jeh and Celina Wadia. Amrita Arora, Jal Band of Pakistan and Aamir Ali & Sanjeeda performed at the show.
